Bourbon Sour

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Bourbon
  • 22 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 15 ml simple syrup
  • 1 ml Angostura bitters
  • Ice cubes
  • A piece of lemon


Tools Needed

  1. Cocktail shaker

       2. Jigger

       3. Strainer

          Hawthorne Strainer and Fine Strainer

       4. Cocktail glass

Instructions

1️⃣ Dry Shake — 25 sec
Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and angostura bitters to a shaker without ice. Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

3️⃣ Strain — 15 sec
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

4️⃣ Garnish — 10 sec
Garnish with a lemon wheel or cherry.

Tips & Notes

  • Use a bourbon with moderate proof for balance.
  • Use fresh lemon juice, which is about the quality of bourbon sour.
  • Adjust simple syrup  to taste.
