Cucumber Basil Gimlet

🍾 Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Gin

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh Lime Juice

  • 3/4 oz (22 ml) Simple Syrup

  • 3–4 Fresh Basil Leaves

  • 2–3 Cucumber Slices

  • Ice Cubes

  • Optional Garnish: Thin cucumber ribbon or basil sprig

🧊 Instructions

Step 1 (1 min):
In a shaker, muddle basil leaves and cucumber slices gently to release aroma and flavor.

Step 2 (1 min):
Add gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice. Shake well for about 15 seconds.

Step 3 (30s):
Strain into a chilled martini glass or coupe.

Step 4 (30s):
Garnish with a basil sprig or cucumber ribbon for an elegant finish.


⚠ Tips & Notes

  • Don’t over-muddle the basil—it can turn bitter.

  • Adjust sweetness by changing the simple syrup amount.

  • For a lighter version, top with a splash of soda water.

  • Use fresh lime juice—bottled juice will dull the flavor.
