Perfect Chicken Pizza Recipe: A Step-by-Step Guide with Skycrops Oven

Ingredients:

1. Dough:

  • 12 oz (340g) all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 oz (14g) instant yeast
  • 0.5 oz (14g) granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 4.5 oz (128g) warm water (40°C)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

2. Toppings:

  • 6 oz (170g) chicken breast, sliced into strips
  • 4 oz (113g) pizza sauce
  • 3 oz (85g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 oz (56g) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 oz (28g) onion, sliced
  • 1 oz (28g) bell pepper, sliced
  • 0.5 oz (14g) Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Italian mixed herbs
  • Salt, black pepper, olive oil to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough(1h10m)

  • Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water and olive oil, knead into a smooth dough (about 8 minutes).
  • Let the dough rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour), set aside.

2. Preheat Chicken(15m)

  • Marinate chicken strips with salt, black pepper, and Italian herbs for 10 minutes, then pan-fry until golden and dice into small pieces.

3. Preheat the Pizza Oven(20m)

  • Fire up the Skycrops wood-fired pizza oven with fuel, preheat to 475°F (246°C), and monitor temperature via the built-in thermometer.
  • Place the pizza stone inside the oven in advance to ensure even heating.

4. Shape and Assemble the Pizza

  • Roll the dough into a 12-inch circle with a thickened edge. Spread pizza sauce, sprinkle mixed cheeses, add chicken, onion, and bell pepper, then top with Parmesan.

5. Bake the Pizza(3-5m)

  • Transfer the pizza to the preheated stone. Use Skycrops’ 360° rotation feature rotate the peel to ensure even baking—minimize door openings.
  • Bake until the crust is crispy and the cheese is bubbly and golden (about 8-10 minutes).

6. Serve(2m)
