Plum Gin Sour

Ingredients

  • 50 ml gin
  • 25 ml fresh plum purée
  • 20 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 15 ml simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • Garnish: plum slice or lemon peel

Tools Needed

  1. Cocktail shaker

       2. Jigger

       3. Fine strainer

       4. Coupe Glass

Instructions

1️⃣ Dry shake — 20 sec
Add gin, plum purée, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white into a shaker without ice. Shake hard to build foam.

2️⃣ Shake with ice — 25 sec
Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

3️⃣ Strain — 15 sec
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.

4️⃣ Garnish — 10 sec
Top with a plum slice or express a lemon peel over the foam.

Tips & Notes

  • Ripe plums give better color and natural sweetness.
  • If using plum juice, reduce simple syrup slightly.
  • Egg white adds a silky texture but can be skipped.
  • Works well with London Dry or floral gin.
