Instructions
- Rim the Glass: Rub the rim of the margarita glass with a lime wedge to moisten it. Then, invert the glass onto a small plate filled with coarse salt and gently twist it to evenly coat the rim. Place the glass in the refrigerator to chill.
- Prepare the Ingredients: Cut a lime in half and squeeze out 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice. Use a jigger to measure 1.5 oz of silver tequila and 0.5 oz of Cointreau accurately.
- Mix the Ingredients: Fill the cocktail shaker about two - thirds full with ice. Pour the measured tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice into the shaker. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15 - 20 seconds to thoroughly blend and chill the mixture.
- Pour the Drink: Remove the chilled, salt - rimmed glass from the refrigerator. Add some ice cubes to the glass using ice tongs. Strain the contents of the shaker into the glass.
- Garnish: Garnish the glass by placing a lime wedge on the rim. And there you have it, a classic Margarita ready to be enjoyed!
If you’re feeling adventurous, try adding some strawberries for a fruity twist, or adjusting the sweetness and tartness to your preference.
